The beginning of the first book was really terrible but after the MC stopped letting women bully him around it got better. Unfortunately we go back to that horrible formula in this book. The MC, is an idiot, a SIMP, and just an all around horrible character. He spends the whole first half of this book telling people how horrible of a human being he is and he wouldn't be able to get out of bed and perform the simplest task without the help of a women. I honestly have no idea why the author would ever write a harem story with male character that has zero intestinal fortitude. If this author is a man and you hate your gender existence as much as shines through in your two books i honestly feel sorry for you. The only positive in this book is laughing at the women saying how tough and strong they are yet they are unable to accomplish anything requiring strength or combat without the MC. The total hypocrisy of a "strong independent women who doesn't need a man" but needs a man whenever they are attacked it pretty funny. Had this book not been a harem story and just a SIMP being bullied around by women all day long it probably would have worked better. I honestly don't know how it received so many five star reviews unless those folks didn't actually read the book or were paid for their reviews. I had to force myself through the first book hoping it would get better and the second book was so bad i stopped half way through. Hard pass if you get a chance. Great sequel with more emotional connection among Team Jay, more revelations about the aliens that took them, more about the girls and so much more. This book is again another great one with book 2 keep up the momentum!
